In Bhutan, where there are only a few hundred Christians out of the country's 750,000 inhabitants, Christianity is a relatively small minority religion. Some encouraging changes for Christians in Bhutan have occurred recently. Religious freedom for Christians and other minority religions has increased as a result of this policy reform.
In spite of the difficulties, a large number of Christians in Bhutan are still involved in their neighborhoods, offering social and educational services and fighting for equality and religious freedom. Some Christians are participating in interfaith programs and engagement with religious leaders in Bhutan, where Christian churches continue to play a little but essential contribution to the social and global culture of the country.
