Less than 2% of Pakistan's people identify as Christians, making it a minority religion in that country. In Pakistan, Christians endure a number of difficulties and prejudice, such as restrictions on their religious activities, discrimination in employment and education, and violence and persecution by extremist groups. Violence against Christians has occurred on multiple occasions recently, including assaults on churches and people.
However, some Christians in Pakistan keep taking part in their communities, giving social and educational services, and advocating for religious freedom and human rights in spite of these challenges. Many Christians are participating in peace projects and conversations with religious leaders in Pakistan, as Christian churches continue to play a major part in the social, cultural, and political landscape of the nation.
